Lined with coconut palms, raisiniers and other endemic trees, with crystal clear water and fine sand, the magnificent Saline beach is located in the town of Sainte Anne, about ten minutes by car from the villa.
The atmosphere is very family-oriented, the beach can get crowded on weekends.
From there starts a hike to the Savane des Pétrifications which leads to another wild and beautiful beach, Anse Trabaud;
Also about ten minutes by car from the villa, the Anse Michel beach is sportier and windier. It is the meeting place in particular for kitesurfers, but you can also practice paddle, foil, sea kayaking and of course swimming.
A shuttle boat service,Taxi Cap, takes you to visit Ilet Chevalier.
Besides the rum, the visit allows you to discover an exuberant tropical garden dotted with modern sculptures, as well as the old house classified as a Historic Monument.
Don't miss the Foundation museum dedicated to Caribbean arts.
Travel time from the villa: about 30 minutes.
Unavoidable, Balata garden offers a magical walk among heliconias, tree ferns, palm groves, ponds filled with lotuses, as well as a 15 m high rope course in the trees.

Note a little further on the Route de la Trace: a pleasant picnic area on the edge of an arboretum.
One of the few banana plantations, if not the only one, to offer a visit by mini-train with stops allowing you to understand the stages of this cultivation.

Reserved for athletes with good shoes, the ascent of Mount Pelée at the other end of the island (count 90 minutes of road) is an unforgettable experience.
Expect to get wet.
We recommend, once at the top, to descend into the caldera.
Watch out for the crevasses, which can be up to 80 m deep.
